We got hit with a bad freeze last week, with temps fluctuating between 91°F during the day, and dropping to 26°F a few nights later. We protected what we could, but many crops were already struggling in the heat and some didn't make it throug

🚜🚜🚜 We love our tractor! This beast is a John Deere 820 from 1972, and she works HARD. She's the only tractor we have, and she does it all: mows, cultivates, tills, disks, shapes beds, spreads fertilizer and compost, pulls chicken coops - you name
💮 It doesn't look like much yet, but soon this area will be filled with the pink, white, and red blooms and berries of native shrubs!

🐝 These plants will feed and house the many pollinator species that our farm (and the entire ecosystem) rely on.
🛍️ We love visiting the local farmers market wherever we go! It's always fun to see what the farmers are growing, and inspiring to see different setups and signage. Plus, we love cooking with whatever ingredients are local to wherever we're visiting
🙌 I'm really excited about a few efficiency upgrades this year.
